"Why is Mithril such a dangerous drug?" Kede questioned as Nura blinked slowly in confusion.
"And how do you know of that #euphoric drug?" The blind older sister replied with her arms crossed. She wasn't mad, she was disappointed more than anything. While she knew why her younger siblings where snooping around in the Master Bedroom; she didn't want them to get yelled at by Kimiko for the 8th time that week.
"I accidentally kicked a bottle labeled - BANNED in our parents' room when trying to find answers as to where they may be." He said as she let out a sigh before flashing a sad smile to him.
"You and Niraneris where trying to find something to use for her aura reading ability, weren't you?" Nura softly asked as her younger half brother nodded in silence as tears fell.
"Y-yeah. It's just we don't know them or have a connection like you do. And well, we want a connection with them. As well as to see them safe with us." Kede whispered as she wrapped him into a comforting hug.
"I know. And I don't blame you two for being this way. But please don't go lurking around in here without permission. You know, Oba Kimiko will be furious for you doing so." Nura said as memories of that fateful day crossed her mind.
"I understand, but I do have two questions - my original question, of course, and why did Naneth have it on her person? I accidentally stumbled upon some clothes with a bottle of Mithril in the pocket that was under a dresser." Kede questioned.
"Mithril is a drug that while has powerful healing capabilities, it has a drawback of worsen one's condition. It is also an addictive drug known to cause a euphoric sensation and have a person be up for several days." Nura explained before letting out a troubling sigh.
"...Naneth was addicted to the stuff wasn't she?" Kede bluntly remarked before his older half sister could say anything.
"Yes... Unfortunately. But I cannot go into a full explanation with you since one, you are too young to understand, and two, Kimiko would have my head if I said anything without permission. And besides you and your twin sister are under enough stress as is. I don't want to further that pain." She explained and he nodded in understanding.
"I understand. Thank you for at least telling me about the drug and why it's dangerous. And as frustrating as it is with everyone dancing around Naneth's past, I understand as well as to why everyone is being that way." Kede said with slight annoyance in his tone before leaving the room as Nura followed suit. As she stood in the doorway she gazed silently into the partially darken bedroom with a frown. "We'll find them. And hopefully this nightmare will end." She thought.
