"So, today's the Celebration of Nights and Dreams?" Kailu asked as they entered Shepi, an ancient-looking town, and seeing people darting about on getting things set up before the twin suns set.
Aerilaya nodded as they met up with Nari, a humanoid cat with brown and white fur, who greeted them warmly when he saw them.
"Ah, Lady Aerilaya and Sir Alosrin, what a wonderful surprise it is to see you here on this glorious day." He said with a beaming smile and giving them quick hugs.
"Please, Nari, just refer to us as Aerilaya and Alosrin. There's no reason to be this formal. We're not here to speak with the Pharaoh." Aerilaya interjected with a smile as the cat's face went red.
"I apologize, my dear. You know how hard it is to turn off my duties." He said with a sheepish laugh while rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.
"No need to apologize. It's just nice to be treated like a nobody for a moment." Alosrin muttered while surveying the area. "Is there anything we can do to help?" He asked.
"You're my guests and this is one time I'd like you to relax, Prince Alosrin. You have done enough for us as is, especially on freeing my people from that wretched industry. I pray those who have suffered get through their ordeals." Pharaoh Tairin said as she and her guards came over to them. "Please come back to the palace and release some stress that I'm sure you're all experiencing due to dealing with Fayaris and his goons." She continued with a warm smile.
"Tonight is not just a celebration and appreciation for Tovldir, the God of Night and Dreams, but this is for all the deities who are part of the night culture, especially our Goddess Edona." Pharaoh Tairin announced when the time came for the festivities.
Aerilaya and Alosrin sat close to one another as Kailu happily chowed down on some spicy dishes he had come across at the vendors. The three quietly listened to the leader of the Odine people as the night sky and the stars seemed brighter than normal.
