Lyrae is a black human/Zeniron, who used to live in a tribe called the Burned Scar in E’fathalas, a grassland reservation, and is currently living in the Taiga Mountains with her girlfriend, Nura, her family, and the Snow Elves.
Lyrae stands out due to her not only her height, 6'2, but her eye and hair color. Her eyes are amber gold and her hair is a light goldenrod yellow, which both is considered unnatural by the tribe's standard, who don't have hair or eye color like this. The reason for 'unnatural' hair and eye color is due to this being the only thing that ties her to being half Zeniron as her human side is more dominate. Whereas half Zeniron usually show a mixture of their heritages.
She's also one of the rare few humans, thanks to her Zeniron heritage, who can use not only Light Magic, but Lightning Magic as well. Lightning Magic is considered new even among the Zeniron, who are just now discovering this ability.
Excluding her magical abilities, Lyrae also has fighting skills that is not only unique to her, but the rest of the country as well. Most humans have basic fighting skills for defensive purposes. With her and her tribe, they're trained by their Twin Huntress Goddesses Msia and Aluna, through ancient fighting styles that have been dead to most of the Kaeyama for over a century. The fighting skills are a mix of martial arts called the Shitsi, a stick martial arts, and Phantom's Hand, a rune technique, to activate their rune tattoos that are on their body.
After her banishment from the Burned Scar Tribe for standing up for not only herself, but the other women of the tribe, who where dealing with the prospects of being married off to the Chieftain's abusive son, Nyo; she found herself half conscious in Hanalian at the Healers Guild and being taken care of by Nura. Over time the two women had formed a friendship and grew close to one another as the blind healer assisted Lyrae on controlling both her Light abilities and the Lightning Magic. Over time, she moved in with Nura and her family as she had nowhere else to go, and was trained further by Head Healer Glendhor to improve her techniques and learn new medical skills along with potions and spells. She currently working on a potion that supposedly can reverse blindness caused by poisoning in hopes to restore Nura's eyesight.
