Aneluma and Aneluma's Great Hall are two connected Underworld Realms that is the boatman Niion for travel on the Ethereal Canal, and is one of Morrigan, the Goddess of Death, brothers. The other brother, Ieyr, is the Guardian and assists on who goes to which section.
There are two parts of the Elves' Underworld or Afterlife as it is preferred by most Elven Clans, is divided into two areas: Aneluma and Aneluma's Great Hall.
While the Forest Elves, Snow Elves, Shadow Elves, Moon Elves, Vernmer, and Drow are immortal. They can tire of the world of the living, fall in battle, or suffer from poison like other beings. This is where Aneluma and Aneluma's Great Hall comes into play.
Aneluma is for those who have grown tired of the world of the living, have passed due to grief, poison, or murdered.
Aneluma's Great Hall is for those who died in battle during times of war.
Aneluma and Aneluma's Great Hall are connected to one another. The reason for this is to ensure warriors and non-warrior loved ones can spend the afterlife with them.
There is a reincarnation cycle, if one chooses to go back to the land of the living. Most only do this if they want a second chance at life and attempt it to live it better then they had previously.
Notable Elves that are currently in Aneluma:
Soliana - She was killed before the start of the story. Aerilaya runs into her while on her mission to stop a daemon from bringing back some notorious Moon Elves, Drow, and Vernmer to the world of the living.
There are two ways for a person living to enter these lands, if they've been granted permission by the Goddess of Death herself. One is through the Taiga Mountains Snow Elves' Shrines and other is through Taedmorden, the Shadow Elves' former home Temples or what is left them. Only a few select Elves or human heroes are allowed to enter these places and this has only been accomplished by them proving to themselves that they can survive trials like this.
Only known people that have done this:
Snow Elves:
Aerilaya and her mother, Queen Merialeth
Humans:
King Tobias
Thornton Sr.
