Lyrae growled in frustration while slamming her hands against the table causing the various sized beakers and glass vials to rattle and clink against one another.
"This is the same thing over and over!" Lyrae shouted as the results remained the same - black goo with the smell of burning rotting eggs.
As she mulled in anger and frustration, she failed to see or hear Niraneris at the open doorway.
"Need some help?" The 12 year old mixed elf offered while stepping further into the room while causing the black human woman to swiftly look her way.
"I do. But I don't want your sister to kill me if something happens to you." Lyrae replied as Niraneris let out a giggle.
"Don't worry. If anything goes wrong, I'll say it was my fault and my fault only." She said knowing the consequences of using her alchemy.
"Hm..." Niraneris said under her breath while assessing what was on the table. "Ah, ha!" She exclaimed after reading the instructions and quickly gathering the ingredients.
The child didn't say a word as she created a triangle diagram as shown. It was such a small detail on the scroll that even she nearly missed it.
Bowls and glass clinked softly as Niraneris mixed the items together as Lyrae stood there dumbfounded by the child's precision and organization skills at such a young age for an elf.
"And lastly, Sphinx's Eye." She said out loud to herself mostly before putting the wooden bowl of grey liquid in the center of the diagram as she placed a hand onto the circle surrounding the triangle. Niraneris let out a out a breath as her dark gold eyes flashed with determination as green light crackled and flashed around the area, which freaked out Lyrae for a moment at the sudden noise.
As the light grew and surrounded the bowl as small portion shot at Niraneris causing her to crash into the nearby wall and Lyrae to come running over.
"Are you alright!?" She nearly shouted as a smirk came to the child's face when the light faded and the liquid was now purple.
"I'm better than okay... I've done something we all thought was impossible! We managed to create a reverse poison blindness potion." Niraneris replied.
